Summary of eye checkup camps conducted by Jargon Free Forum
Under Eye Care Right Here initiative, Jargon free forum conducted primary eye checkup camps in 10 Panchayats of three districts in Rajasthan state. The primary objective of the camps to reach out to those people who reside in very remote rural area and have very limited access to avail eye checkup facilities. Particularly, the target group were old age people and children considering their limited accessibility to avail these facilities.

Outcomes and Impact
A total of 10 primary eye check-up camps were conducted. 1646 people were screened during these camps, including 842 males and 804 females. Out of the total, 619 people were over 60 years old. A total of 1063 cases of refractive errors were detected. 1063 spectacles were distributed during the camps. 271 cases of cataracts were identified and referred to government hospitals for further check-ups. 1334 people received eye care counseling.
